Fonseca, Journal of Communication, is a biannual scientific journal (appears on December 1 and June 1), which publishes research articles, with the aim of generating knowledge on issues related to the broad spectrum of the world of communication, in its multiple manifestations: cinema, radio, TV, digital media.
The first issue of Fonseca appeared in December 2010. To date (number 26, June 2023), 318 articles have been published. Its edition is endorsed by the Department of Sociology and Communication and Editions of the University of Salamanca (http://revistas.usal.es/cuatro/index.php/2172-9077/index).
Fonseca is indexed in SJR (2022), in Q3 of Communication with an impact index of 0.155. ESCI/WOS in the JCI position 12 out of 23, with a score of 24.17 in Communication, occupying the C3 quartile. And it has the FECYT Seal, occupying the Q3 quartile and the tenth position of Communication magazines with a score of 23.22. In Google Scholar Metrics it has an h-index of 22, an i10 index of 77, with 2113 citations. In DIALNET she occupies the C1 quartile, with an impact index of 0.333 and a position of 15 out of 61. She appears in the DOAJ Directory, Latindex, with 35 characters completed; and in the journal classification systems: CIRC, CSIC-ISOC; and among the databases of her specialty are Communication Source and Erih Plus. It is part of the Platcom and Redes.com networks.
