The racial mixing in the Colombian textbooks of geography (1975-1990)
Abstract
Miscegenation and content of instruction in geography textbooks Colombia, published between 1975 and 1990, is part of social classification produced in racist social relations. As such, the city is bounded on hierarchical categories named as mestizo / mulatto / Sambo and three races group, under the criterion of crossbreeding. It is part of the self-understanding of the elites, the representation of themselves and others, under the gaze of racism.
