Azafea: Revista de Filosofía was founded in 1985 by professor Laureano Robles, and it was initially dedicated to the study of Hispanic philosophy. After a first stage that covered the publication of the first three issues, in 2001 it extended its scope to all philosophical disciplines, under the direction of professor Cirilo Flórez, philosophy historian at the University of Salamanca and, from 2014, under the direction of Carmen Velayos Castelo, professor of Moral and Political Philosophy. The journal continues today, since 2022, under the editorship of Carlota Fernández-Jáuregui Rojas, professor of Aesthetics and Art Theory.
This journal publishes one volume per year, with unrestricted access to all of its contents since its release.
Texts in languages other than Spanish are allowed (see the call in the "Submissions" section).
