School handbooks. A new field of knowledge
Abstract School handbooks have become today a field of knowledge in its own right, due to the complex functions they perform and their role in the school history. Because of this, the current issue oí Historia de la Educación has devoted its monographic section to them. Moreover, it also explains that papers included here highlight those aspects wich are less knowm, and consequently deserve more research and coverage.
