Inteligencia artificial como recurso de apoyo emocional e informativo: percepción en jóvenes en función de la tipología de su discapacidad

Resumen

Introducción. Este estudio examinó las percepciones de jóvenes universitarios con diferentes tipos de discapacidad (visual, auditiva, física, intelectual y psicosocial y/o por problemas de salud mental) respecto a la utilidad de la inteligencia artificial (IA) como herramienta de apoyo emocional e informativo. El objetivo fue identificar posibles diferencias en la valoración y el uso de la IA como recurso de apoyo informativo y emocional según el tipo de discapacidad, así como analizar la relación entre la utilidad percibida y la frecuencia de uso. Método. Se aplicó un cuestionario estructurado ad hoc a una muestra de 98 participantes, que evaluaron dimensiones como utilidad informativa, apoyo emocional percibido, confianza, accesibilidad y frecuencia de uso. Resultados. Los análisis estadísticos (ANOVA) mostraron diferencias significativas entre los grupos, indicando que los participantes con discapacidad física y visual valoraron más positivamente la IA que aquellos con discapacidad intelectual o psicosocial y/o con problemas de salud mental. Además, se halló una correlación positiva entre la utilidad percibida y la frecuencia de uso, lo que sugiere que, a mayor percepción de beneficio, mayor es el empleo de estas herramientas. Discusión. Los resultados evidencian que la percepción de la IA varía según el tipo de discapacidad y resaltan la necesidad de promover diseños tecnológicos más inclusivos, accesibles y ajustados a las distintas necesidades funcionales para optimizar su potencial como recurso de apoyo.
