The Popularization of Chinese Culture and Literature in the Spanish-speaking World
Abstract In the last decades, there has been a strong impulse in the development of cultural exchanges between the Spanish-speaking world and China, thanks to the establishment and strengthening of strategic and collaborative relations between both parties. A growing enthusiasm for learning Chinese and knowing Chinese culture has emerged in the Spanish-speaking world, especially in Latin America. The following interview will provide us with detailed information about the general situation of the diffusion of Chinese language and culture in the Spanish-speaking world, the dissemination of contemporary Chinese literature through translation and its reception in these countries, as well as the difficulties inherent to the Chinese-Spanish and Spanish-Chinese translation-related activities and the obstacles that hinder intercultural communication.
