Section of the Journal
RSEI is divided into several sections:
- Articles: which focus on a monographic theme.
- Varia: that do not necessarily have to coincide with the “Articulos” section although they must respect the theme of the journal.
- Bibliographic information: reviews, brief content.
Committed to Research of Novice Authors and Authors from Developing Countries
The journal RSEI supports research carried out by authors or research teams from developing countries, especially from Latin America, whose text is presented in scientific languages, preferably in English and Spanish.
We also show our commitment to novice authors from all over the world who submit articles in the languages mentioned above.
Self-Archive and Digital Preservation Permission
Authors are authorized to publish their work on the Internet (e.g., institutional repositories or personal websites) always after editing (in no case before revision, layout, or even during the proofreading or preprint phase). These measures will be taken to encourage the reading and quotation of the article as well as to achieve a greater and faster dissemination of the published work (The Effect of Open Access).
The journal is kept in the two main repositories of the Universidad de Salamanca:
- «eUSAL Revistas»
- «Gredos»
This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create an archive shared among participating libraries, allowing such libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes.
Open Access Policy
RSEI provides immediate free access to its content according to the principle of making public research freely available and supporting a greater exchange of global knowledge.
Adopts for all the content the attribution CC BY-NC-ND / Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives: No commercial use of the original work or the generation of derivative works is allowed. This license allows the copying, distribution, elaboration, and public communication of the work, recognizing the credits of it, provided that it is not used for commercial purposes and that it is not altered or transformed into a derivative work of the original.
Dissemination in Databases
The journal undertakes to provide XML metadata or in other specific formats, immediately after its publication in «eUSAL Revistas» and within three months to encourage dissemination in databases (Proquest, Ebsco, Elsevier, DOAJ, CrossRef / DOI).
Gold Route to Open Access
Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca carries out the gold route to Open Access since 2003 and it will be possible to access complete texts in PDF format of the RSEI, in compliance with the Spanish Law 14/2011, of June 1, on Science, Technology and Innovation.
Thematics
Original research works of “Italianism” are admitted: linguistics, didactics, literature and culture.
Languages
Submitted articles will be published in Spanish, Italian, English and exceptionally in other languages.
Ethical Standards of the Journal
By submitting their originals to the journal, the authors undertake to accept the usual procedures in the scientific community: only original works that have not been previously published and that are not subject to evaluation by other journals will be submitted. Thus, the originals submitted to the journal will not be sent to other publications until the evaluation process is completed by our journal.
Authors must respect the international copyright treaties of the texts, graphics, and other materials included in their writings sent to the journal for publication.
The editors, the editorial board, and the reviewers of the journal will ensure the maintenance of the integrity of the research which, in the first instance, is the author's responsibility, reminding them of the use of Turnitin Ephorus software. Authors are therefore called out to continue to avoid practices such as plagiarism and self-plagiarism.
Accountability of the Journal
- The management is not responsible for the ideas and opinions expressed by the authors in the journal articles.
- Once the work has been accepted for publication, it is assumed that all its authors have given their consent, and RSEI retains the rights of reproduction by any format.
- Once published, the author will receive an offprint of their article in PDF format from the journal in which it appears.
COPE
This journal supports the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice determined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
