Rivalries Among Manilas’s Networks of Power: Blow Against the Governor Diego de Salcedo

Abstract

In the second half of the seventeenth century lived an unusual Philippines blow against the Governor and Captain-General Diego de Salcedo, who was arrested by the Inquisition of the islands and processed. Process that was the end of a confrontation as never lived among different networks of power and ended with the intervention of the Court and the unanimous condemnation of all participants in those events.
