Herakles and the archery peoples of the antiquity
Abstract In this article is detected and analyzed the relationship among Herakles and a few of peoples, such as the Amazons and the Scythians, nomadic or semi-nomadic, specially skilled in the handling of the bow, the weapon chosen before others. A relationship strongly embodied in the literal and iconographic Greek traditions, which have not been paid attention to, but detected by us as an essential element of the identity of Greek hero par excellence.
