For Love at Art. «Aula de Danza» of the University of Córdoba

Abstract

The «Aula de Danza» of the University of Córdoba is a social and cultural projection classroom dependent on the Rectorate that was born in 2011. It emerged from a group of teachers from the Department of Artistic and Corporal Education, based in the Faculty of Educational Sciences, fruit of their passion for dance, looking for this discipline had a greater presence in the institution and in the citizenry.The philosophy is inclusive. It is open to those who wish to deepen the study of the art of Dance, as well as to all people interested in having contact with the world of movement and its different manifestations. Its purpose is to promote in the university community and citizens an approach to the art of movement through the healthy practice of dance, while promoting ethical and aesthetic values.This article seeks to share the experience, of more than ten years of existence, of the «Aula de Danza» of the UCO (Spain), hoping to contribute to promoting art in movement and its benefits in the university educational environment and other contexts. We hope it will be useful for the creation of similar projects or contribute to existing ones.
