Cleopatra en la ficción: el cine

Abstract

RESUMEN: El trabajo se centra en las versiones que sobre el personaje de Cleopatra se han realizado en el cine, procurando confrontar estas interpretaciones con las creadas en otros medios y, finalmente, con los datos que conocemos de las fuentes literarias antiguas, para exponer así cómo se ha ido creando y transformando la imagen y la leyenda de la reina del Nilo.ABSTRACT: This paper focuses on how the character of Cleopatra has been especially seen by the cinema. We try to relate the film versions, plus those views in other media, with several data coming from the Ancient litterary sources, in order to show how the legend of The Queen of Nile has been created and equally transformed.
