The Catalog of illustrious Men of Isidore of Seville (CPL 1206): content and dating
Abstract This paper presents the authors and writings cited by Isidore of Seville in his De uiris illustribus and study the use of them made by the bishop of Seville in the rest of his works. The conclusion is that the catalog of illustrious men is one of the oldest works of Isidore or perhaps the oldest.
