Studia Historica. Historia Antigua

Studia Historica. Historia Antigua is a scientific journal   devoted to Ancient Greek and Roman History (including the Iberian Peninsula), from the origins to Late Antiquity. From volume 41 (2023) onwards the journal is published in a continuous mode.

It is published by the Department of Prehistory, Ancient History and Archaeology of the University of Salamanca and is edited by Ediciones Universidad de Salamanca.

The journal was founded in 1983 by Marcelo Vigil Pascual. It has been published continuously for 40 years.

Studia Historica. Historia Antigua is indexed in ESCI/WoS from December 2016 and has been awarded the FECYT 2022 Quality Seal.

It is listed in the following indexes: inDICEs-CSIC,  DOAJ, Latindex, MIAR; and in the following journal classification systems: Carhus Plus; CIRC; SJR. Among others, it is included in the following databases attending to its speciality: Erih Plus, Historical Abstracts, L’Année philologique, Pascal-Francis, Periodical Index OnLine (PIO), y Regesta Imperii.

The Journal publishes original research articles, peer-reviewed, preferably in Spanish and English, although it accepts other scientific languages. All papers are provided with titles, abstracts, and keywords in the language of publication and in English.
