Conclusions of the exploratory study about the cultural scopes derived from the introduction of technologies of information in rural schools
Abstract This research has wanted to reflect on the relationship between technology and culture and the implications for the educational processes in which Chile is immersed. The research assumed an exploratory character, in the sense of lifting some of the relationships, practices and complexities that they stake in the ground of an educational reform that it bets to a large extent for the technology as engine of the progress and of the development. In this aspect the introduction of the information and communication technologies (ICT) at schools can be understood as an experimental initiative, the school being transformed into a kind of social laboratory where it is possible to view the different facets that the technological development entails.
