Popular education between the reform and social revolution. La Federación Universitaria Escolar
Abstract This paper deals with three different times of popular education during the Spanish Second Republic. The first moment work the «Misiones Pedagógicas»; the second and the third moments deal respectively with the plans and experiences of Eopular education carried out by the «Federación Universitaria Escolar» during the ourgeois Republic years and in Spain when undergoing the revolutionary period of Civil War. Our analysis tries to state whether these three different moments of popular education are included into the reform and/or the social revolution. At the same time we also establish the similarities and differences between the three moments, through the subject that is receiving this education, the object that is being transmited and the way and purpose of this educational process.
