Toldot. Studia Hebraica et Sephardica is a peer-reviewed journal published annually, dedicated to the field of Hebrew and Sephardic studies. Its scope focuses on the linguistic, literary, historical, scientific, and cultural productions of Jewish, converso, and Sephardic minorities from an interdisciplinary and transregional perspective, with particular—though not exclusive—attention to the Iberian context.
The journal welcomes original contributions related to Hebrew Philology, Jewish History, the linguistic, social, intellectual and cultural history of the Jews in Sepharad, their Hispanic diasporas (Western, Mediterranean, and Atlantic) and the interfaith and intercultural synergies between Iberian minorities and other spheres of European judaism throughout the centuries.
Each volume consists of a regular section featuring general and/or philological scholarly articles (including text and document editions), a special issue, and a section devoted to critical reviews of books and digital resources.
The journal accepts submissions in Spanish and English; upon prior agreement with the Editorial Board, articles and special issues may also be published in other languages.
The journal is associated with the Institute for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and Digital Humanities (IEMYRhd) at the University of Salamanca, and is edited by Ediciones EUSAL.
