On the wings of freedom

Abstract

Based on the personal experience of the author with censorship in different contexts, be they related to repressive regimes, or in general to fundamentalist political or religious conceptions, the article attempts to discuss the risks involved in censoring children’s literature. This type of censorship, under the pretext of protecting children, often introduces prejudice in the construction of their knowledge of the world and their ability to tolerate difference.
