Abstract
ABSTRACT: This article seeks to evaluate the evolution of the Jewish communities of Álava, Guipúzcoa and Vizcaya since the 13th century from the year of the expulsion in 1492. Moreover, we analyze an interpretation of the economic and social links of the communities themselves and the d e of the nobiiity (Velasco and Guevara lineages) as the main agents in the evolution of these Jewish settlements located in their manors. Findy we show the meaning of antisemitic violence due to the narrow bond between the Hebrews and the aristocratic families, and as a final consequence of this, the situation throughout the territory caused by the antinobility movements and antisemitic violence.
