Abstract

After experiencing six years of democracy, workers promoted new strategies and networks of sociability to join together and to look for solutions to their demands and needs. This article lies within the framework of the analysis of these manifestations, which is generating considerable bibliography which in turn has contributed to renovating the history of Republicanism and the workers' movement in Spain. In the case that concerns us and for the period encompassing the last quarter of the nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth, this article studies both the expansión of Republican and Anarchist space and its significance and influence on the social and cultural practices of its creators.
