The Civil War in the Basque Country. The triumph of local history, documentary sources and memoirs
Abstract This is a review of the literature on the war in the Basque Country. Since that war’s 70th anniversary what stands out is the significant increase in published essays - particularly those dealing with local history and in the reproduction of documentary sources, as well as a large number of memoirs and testimonies by the people involved.
