Vestali integrate nella società romana

Abstract

On the basis of the few known examples of the late Republic and the early Empire, we are trying to highlight that, despite the juridical relations of the Vestals (almost all from well-known noble families) with the family being interrupted upon entry into the priesthood, the bonds of affection and support in the private and political life remain unchanged. Therefore, the Virgins seem well integrated into the society of their times.
