Contribution of new technologies in future teachers’ multilingual education in communities with a minority language

Abstract

Future teachers’ multilingual education and digital literacy present a challenge for our institutions. Mobility between different countries and the development of the Information and Communication Technologies have set up new educational needs to deal with. Moreover, if the aim is to promote additive multilingualism in bilingual settings with a minority language, the challenge is even bigger due to the fact that a good planning is required. And this is the work that we are developing in the Faculty of Humanities and Education in the University of Mondragon. We are experimenting with a multilingual and digital plan in Infant and Primary Education Degrees.
