Pautas de comportamiento en la búsqueda de información en el entorno de la Universidad de Alicante: acciones desde la docencia y los servicios bibliotecarios

Abstract

The “Google generation”, the one whose members were born after 1993, which has few or none memories of life before the Web, is now enrolling University, precisely with the implementation of the new EHEA (European Higher Education Area) degrees in Spanish state funding and private universities. The digital change is also affecting teachers and researchers who have to search for relevant information on a daily basis as part of their professional standards. University libraries are making a big effort to satisfy the informational needs of both collectives of users and also to inform about the tools, products and services that are infra-used. From a close inspection to the formation activities being launched by the Alicante University Library, and the existent statistic results related to this topic, conclusions about the participation and approach of them will be drawn. Finally, the present proposal of integration of information and computer competencies in the new higher education studies by the University of Alicante will be presented.
