The new competences for teachers in the european higher education area: an experience of teaching innovation
Abstract The collaborative work is one of the key methodological strategies to the implantation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). In the same way, Information and Communication Technologies as well as the new pedagogical potentialities used in the academic classroom, facilitate and promote the interaction and communication among students and between teachers and pupils while contributing to the creation of a virtual educative community based on some principles such as cooperation, coresponsibility, respect and mutual trust. In this work we described the pilot experience carried out in the subject of Instruction Psychology for its adaptation to the EHEA. It is outstanding how the organization and teamwork together with the synchronous and asynchronous communication tools have favoured the reflection, debate and the implication of students in their own learning process. Likewise, it is emphasized the role of teacher as an adviser and guide in this process.
