Abstract

In this paper we introduce FERMAT (Forum about Experiences on Resources of Mathematics Applied to Telecommunication), whose internet portal can be found at http://www.campusvirtual.uma.es/fermat. This work has been developed by a group of teachers at the Department of Applied Mathematics at Málaga University, and consists, basically, in the development of some pedagogical and scientific tools that allow us to increase the motivation of our students on this Science and its applications. We describe the objectives considered, the methodology used, the internet portal we have developed as well as how it is being used by the students. We finish with an analysis of the obtained results, the final conclusions and the future work.
