The strategic planning, an educational leadership indicator
Abstract Emphasizing the role of the pedagogical leadership as a decisive factor for the efficient operation of the educational centers, this article discusses the strategic planning as an indication of the presence of this critical factor in the dynamics of the schools and institutes in Spain. In the analysis of the variables associated with the level of development of this type of directive activity, it reveals its links with the leadership for learning that are given greater potential to its contribution to the educational success. The study of the available evidence on the level of development reached by this form of strategic action underscored its commitment to the beliefs of directors rather than to the conditions set out the context which restricted the activities of the schools. The results have been obtained from a sample of 694 directors, representative of the Spanish school, in their mandatory stages.
