ICTexperiences at the University of Extremadura framed within a socioconstructivist and researching model
Abstract The object of study was the use of blogs in different university courses offered by the University of Extremadura under a socioconstructivist and research paradigm. The sample consisted of 136 students enroled in the 2008-2009 academic year at the University of Extremadura, Spain. Data were collected from comments posted by students to the various courses’ blogs, group forum threads and comments sent by students to lecturers via e-mail. Results show that blogs are easy to use, an important technological resource for education, foster the active engagement of students and become an assessment tool of the practices carried out.
