Sedimentación rítmica en el Paleógeno de Almenara de Tormes (Salamanca)

Abstract

A thorough study of the Paleogene of Almenara de Tormes (Salamanca) has been carried out. The sedimentological analysis of these deposits has made it possible to recognize the different rhythms and their fining upward character as well as the alluvial fan environment where they were deposited. The evolution of channels can be inferred from the correlation of varions series, and lateral variations of their rhythms.
