Una estructura interesante: el sinclinal Ordovícico-silúrico de Sequeros-Ahigal de los Aceiteros
Abstract In this paper, the Sequeros-Ahigal de los Aceiteros Syncline, a structure made up of Ordovician-Silurian rocks that spreads from SE to NW across the Salamanca province, is described for the first time. The Tertiary cover existing in two areas is used as a limit for the division in three zones : Tamames, Retortillo and Bogajo respectively. The last zone is affected by a SW-NE trending strike-slip fault that bends it out towards the E. No apparent mechanical displacement is produced by the adjoining granite intrusions.
