Petrología de los afloramientos graníticos de Linares (Pola de Allande, Asturias)

Abstract

Two outcrops of a granite stock partially covered by Tertiary sediments near linares (Asturias, NW Spain) intruding the Narcea schists (precambriam) and quartzites (Lower Cambrian), are studied. After pétrographie study they can be described as calc-alcaline granites and biotite granodiorites with some accidental amphibole and frequent fine-grained xenoliths. Two different faciès are observed with feldspar megacrystals and fine-grained non-porphyritic respectively. The relationships of the calc-alcaline granodiorite series with the hercynian granites of Northwestern Spain is discussed.
