Humour, fun, irony and satire in «Niebla»: Some proposals to read the novel written by Unamuno
Abstract This essay tries to offer an overview of Unamuno’s novel, Niebla (Mist), looking at features such as humour, jokiness, mockery, irony and satire, present throughout the novel right from the preface. Some of these features have already been studied in previous essays. Nevertheless, it seemed interesting to undertake a deeper approach. The conclusion we arrive to is obvious: Niebla admits various readings and interpretations, wich gives a clear idea of the quality and relevance of the novel whitin Unamuno’s complete works.
