La estética, clave del 98. Un diálogo generacional

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article attempts to recover one of the keys of the Generation of 98, that of aesthetics, which has either been ignored by the usual treatment of »sources» or disfigured by generational filters. It is not only a matter of »negative sensibility», as Ortega y Gasset affirmecl, but rather of the »pessimism of the strong» in the Nietzschean sense. With the aesthetic inquiry of a »philosophy of our soul», a Spanish philosophical style was being elaborated, which had its expression in pictorial narrative texts.
