Objective Clinical Measurement of Retrognathia in Infants
Abstract The difficulties that arise during breastfeeding can serve as a tool for postnatal prophylaxis of craniofacial anomalies, or at least a way to propose an appropriate treatment. Retrognathia is one of the orofacial alterations that influences the correct biomechanics during lactation. An objective measurement using bone anatomical references provides us with data on the degree of retrognathia.
