Conservación y difusión del patrimonio musical a través del aspecto gráfico de los libros de texto de Educación Primaria.

Abstract

This approach is intended to prove whether, in the textbooks of Primary Education for the subject of Music of one of the publishers with more presence in the Region of Murcia, traditional music is represented in its graphic aspect. In this way, we intend to verify if Primary Education is about preserving, respecting, knowing and disseminating the musical heritage as established by the school curriculum for the Region of Murcia.

It has contacted all schools in the Region of Murcia to know what textbooks they use in their classes. Once known, one of the publishers with the most presence to be analyzed has been selected at random. The books destined to each course have been revised to verify if in their graphic aspect they appear images with clear references, already by clothes, dances, instruments, etc. to traditional music.

The results show that of the 362 images presented by the books of this editorial 93 shows traditional or cultural elements, being the second section, specifically fourth and sixth, where more traditional musical elements are present.
