La corte de cada virrey desempeñaba un papel eficaz en la integración en el sistema global de los poderes o autoridades locales. Asimismo, el cargo de virrey resultaba útil a la hora de dotar de puestos en el gobierno a los nobles españoles. It overcame the obstacle of distance and also miscommunication between the Spanish Court and the dominions. Each Viceroy’s Court was a useful institution in encouraging the integration of the local powers/authorities in the global system. Likewise, the Viceroy’s Office was useful in procuring positions in government for the Spanish nobility. The type of power this represented needed the continuous confirmation provided by a series of rituals, ceremonies and symbolic remembrances of both the Viceroy’s preeminence and the nature of his Office.</p>}, journal={Studia Historica: Historia Moderna}, author={Ciaramitaro, Fernando}, year={2009}, month={oct.} }
