Abstract
ABSTRACT: By means of this example, the author wants to go more deeply into the understanding of Castilian guilds and how the transition from corporations to guilds was developed. In order to get his objective, the author starts from the hypothesis based on the idea that this transition consisted of the achievement of jurisdictional competences, especially those regarding law. Not only does he author analyze the regulations elaborated by tailors, and shearers associations from Burgos in 1845 but also a draft regulating holiday labour. Thanks to this, the author concludes that associations obtained competences on the issue and became guilds.
