Spanish Child refugees in the USSR and Mexico. International Aid, Life Experiences and Legacies
Abstract
The study proposes a historical approach to the experiences of War Children who were evacuated to Mexico and the USSR during the Spanish Civil War between 1937 and 1938 and their experiences, through diverse sources, testimonies, memoirs, specialized literature, collected throughout various research projects, and focuses on audiovisual narrative, to address the perceptions of exiles and the press to collect their impact on host societies, the latter aspect that must be studied to deepen contemporary legacies.
