The level III of the Cueva del Esquilleu (Castro-Cillórigo, Cantabria)
Abstract The level III of the Cueva del Esquilleu is the upper one of a long Mousterian sequence that up to now has provided thirteen fertile levels. The cultural and stratigraphic position of this level, as well as its geographic location (Picos de Europa) makes the commented collection an interesting exponent of the Cantabrian late Mousterian period. The analisys of the materials has permitted the reconstruction of a technical sequence charasterised by discoid flaking in wich the elements of industrials evolutions are scarcelly found.
