Towards a historical-social reading of worker space in restoration Spain: a glimpse into working space

Abstract

After highlighting both the diversity and the many forms of worker space in Restoration Spain and the unique importance of the street in the daily life of the working class at this time, the author of this article delves into the problematic of these spaces and places by posing and answering new questions in a field of study as complex as it is necessary for a correct understanding of Restoration society. It is, in short, an attempt to analyse the working class culture of space and the practices linked to it, with special emphasis on the workplace.
