Knowledge Community and the Evolution of Man
Abstract
The concept is established assuming that a cultural context is an essential requirement to observe the biological anthropology of the human species; that is why we sustain that the evolution of the hominid tribes depended on a progression towards knowledge communities; this is what we nowadays call “cultural impulse”. We will formulate propositions applying the methodology of connecting data found in the evolution of humankind with the philosophical demands of a mutual support theory essential for mind development; we will try to verify if the cultural and educational processes, preceded the first artisan workshops. The knowledge we have at our disposal allows us to determine that the humanisation process has to be set in a framework of a proactive approach to the outdoors. In this context, the cultural impulse led them to teach and pay attention to the mental states of others; the surge and evolution of cognitive skills took place in this educational framework.
