Prevalencia y predictores del uso problemático de Internet y del smartphone en docentes en formación

Resumen

Hoy, el uso de Internet y del smartphone está muy extendido y, por tanto, la manera en que las personas interactúan con estas tecnologías constituye un ámbito de estudio de interés y en pleno auge. El presente estudio se centra en el análisis del uso problemático de estas tecnologías, así como en los factores que lo predomina y en las posibles diferencias entre sexos. Se ha llevado a cabo un diseño de investigación predictivo transversal, aplicando diferentes cuestionarios a una muestra de 221 estudiantes de Magisterio, y realizando análisis descriptivos, correlaciones y regresión. Encontramos que la prevalencia del uso problemático de Internet y del smartphone es elevada entre los docentes en formación y que los factores de personalidad, ansiedad, estrés y resiliencia se relacionan con dicho uso y lo predicen, en cierta medida. Se ha puesto de relieve la pertinencia y relevancia de analizar el uso de Internet y del smartphone en el ámbito educativo, ya que dichos manejos se relacionan con variables que conforman la personalidad, tanto de docentes como de estudiantes, y repercutirán en sus formas de pensar y actuar en sociedad.
