https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31889

Music constitutes a fundamental tool in the emotional education of Primary Education students, thus contributing to their comprehensive development. Specifically, this facilitates the transmission and expression of emotions, fosters interpersonal relationships, helps emotional self-regulation and reduces stress, among numerous other benefits. Thus, the objective of this article is based on knowing the history that underlies the study of emotions and the influence that music can have on them and, more specifically, on the emotional education of Primary Education students. To do this, through a search based on a bibliographic review, the birth and study of emotions, the importance of intelligence linked to them and the most effective methodological aspects in relation to emotional education have been explored. Next, and in this line, the influence that music can have on this type of education and its benefits for Primary Education students has been investigated. It is thus concluded that music acts on various areas of the brain, resulting in greater emotional self-regulation and, in general, favoring emotional education.
María Ruiz Fernández

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31602

This article explores Iberian trans-folk, a recent musical phenomenon that revives traditional music through underground and urban aesthetic codes, primarily punk and rave. Based on a corpus of musical collectives active in 2022, the research applies Stratum Theory (Hartmann and Copland) to conduct a six-level semiotic analysis: timbre, rhythm, melody, harmony, lyrics, and audiovisual elements. The results reveal that these groups, such as Califato 3/4, Chill Mafia, and Palmer, reinterpret Iberian periphery identities by blending traditional roots with contemporary expressions and critical values. The study concludes that Iberian trans-folk represents a form of cultural revaluation and resistance against music industry absorption, promoting local identities in a context of global crisis. The prototypical bands of the phenomenon we have studied are Califato 3/4, Rodrigo Cuevas, Chill Mafia, Boyanka Kostova, Baiuca and Palmer.
Aina Monferrer Palmer

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31891

This research highlights the potential and utility of the musicogram as an educational resource in the context of music education in Secondary Education. A review of the concept of musicogram and its main characteristics is conducted. Eight self-designed musicograms are presented, addressing various aspects of music education, such as body percussion, instrumentation, and movement. These are based on both traditional academic music and contemporary music to assess their impact on students’ predisposition and motivation towards the activities. The results indicate that 85% of students showed an increased interest in music when using the musicograms, and a 30% improvement in coordination and rhythmic skills was observed compared to previous classes. Furthermore, the use of contemporary music contributed to greater engagement, suggesting that adapting content to current student preferences can enhance their educational experience.
José David Hernández Meseguer

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31268

George Antheil (Trenton, 1900-New York, 1959) soon achieved fame as an avant-garde composer thanks to his 1924 Ballet mécanique, although the loss of Mary Louise Curtis Bok’s patronage in the context of the Great Depression forced him to compose film music. Although the number of investigations and recordings of his symphonic and piano works has increased recently, his film music has only been investigated by Keith A. Cochrane (1994) and Matthew C. Schildt (2005), who mention the music for The Pride and the Passion (1957), considered by Antheil his best composition for the cinema.

Directed by Stanley Kramer and set in 1810 during the Spanish War of Independence, the film shows the efforts of a group of guerrillas to carry a large cannon from the north of Spain to Ávila, in order to bring down the Wall and retake the city from the French domination.

Based on Antheil’s conception of film music, we carry out a narratological analysis of the scenes with musical accompaniment in which we find the use of various musical themes for different characters and situations, and we verify that the bolero rhythm becomes the cliché that contributes the Spanish character to the music.
David Martín Sánchez

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31890

This article covers two aspects linked by a common denominator, which is the time spent on activities carried out by students. It has its origin in the interest that video games of any kind arouse in students. Through this educational proposal, it is intended that students learn the technical aspects of the French horn, as well as have a broader vision of the importance of the French horn in other areas of life.

To this end, various sessions will be detailed, in which elements of specific themes will be used so that learning is more centralized. The method with which we will work will be to gamify repertoire and work in parallel on academic music and music related to video games, making an instrumentation of one of them, chosen by each student.

Through this proposal, we have managed to get students to take responsibility when carrying out their study work at home, as well as learning to regulate their study time as well as their leisure time. Furthermore, this proposal is a sure bet to get students to know other areas where the French horn can be developed, such as soundtracks for video games. Including video games in the dynamics of Professional Music Education can be useful to show them that the study of the horn is something as close to their daily life as their leisure time.
María Encarnación Jiménez García

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31888

This research focuses on the way in which cognitive distortions influence our daily emotions and how these emotions, when they have a negative bias, can be eliminated and replaced by students with other types of positive thoughts that increase their confidence in the face. to a future musical performance in front of an audience. The objective is, therefore, to increase the confidence and motivation of the Baccalaureate student in the face of a performance in public, making him see that negative emotions such as shame are produced unconsciously in all people and that these can reduce the quality of our interpretation or performance if they are thought about consciously and repetitively. The methodology that we are going to develop is descriptive in which we will expose our students to different knowledge about stage anxiety, so that they try to avoid it. The results provide educational keys and proposals that can favor a decrease in the appearance of this, if it has already occurred. As a final conclusion, it shows how the student who has a future public performance, be it a concert or a musical, in the case of high school students, are susceptible to making their own decisions, and above all thoughts, reducing their concern regarding to this interpretation, facing and reducing stage anxiety if it has already occurred, at the same time increasing their motivation and confidence.
Francisco José Espín Soler

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31896

Emotional foundations begin to be molded during early childhood, but it is during adolescence when they are consolidated and strengthened, making school a crucial place for the development and acquisition of emotional resources. This innovation proposal aims to design a didactic proposal that helps in the development of emotional awareness and the expression of emotions through rap music, aimed at students in the second year of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO). Therefore, a theoretical framework divided into two blocks is put forward: emotional intelligence and its context within the realm of ESO, and rap music as an educational tool. This proposal was put into practice in April 2024, yielding optimal results since the established learning objectives were achieved. This highlights the potential of rap music as an educational tool for emotional development.
Miriam Garrido Villa

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31895

This research article aims to exalt and demonstrate the importance of body expression in the field of primary education, using physical education and music in a cross- curricular manner. Thus, three activities directly related to each other are proposed, where students’ personal knowledge about their own body and mind, as well as motor and social skills, can be worked on throughout their educational development. One of the main objectives is to give importance to body expression and percussion, in this case, in the comprehensive development of primary education students. Also, to interrelate the BAPNE method with the proposed activities. Once these activities have been thoroughly reviewed, it is evident that students are more motivated and have a greater interest in incorporating this type of projects more regularly in the classroom. In conclusion, integrating physical education and music in a cross-curricular manner in relation to body expression not only improves educational content but also significantly contributes to the comprehensive growth and emotional well-being of students.
Mireya Manzanares Soler

https://revistas.usal.es/uno/index.php/pmrt/article/view/31894

According to the law 3/2020, of December 29, amending the law 2/2006, of May 3, of Education, giftedness includes students with special needs who require specific educational resources, different from what is typically provided, to meet their needs appropriately. For that purpose, it is necessary to offer education that is specifically tailored to their needs and personal characteristics, rather than just focusing on academics.

The main aim of this intervention program is to research the current situation of gifted children and explore the use of music as a significant educational measure.

This paper integrates both disciplines to create a specific program that addresses the emotional needs of gifted children through music. The sessions will involve students in their main classrooms, along with teachers and families, aiming to improve the socio-emotional well-being of gifted children by emphasizing inclusion and the importance of involving the main environment of children in their educational process.
Mariana Jiménez García
