Resumen
This article is an attempt to reassess the nature of the relations between Egypt and the Aegean during the 14th and 13th centuries B.C. The topic has again become relevant, both within and without the academic world, as a result of Bernai's Black Athena tetralogy, the second volume of which has just been published. Of particular interest is Bernai's contention that the Aegean was under Egyptian hegemony during the Late Bronze Age.
