Xanthosoma cubense (Schott) Schott (Araceae): taxonomía y nomenclatura

Abstract

A revision of the genus Xanthosoma Schott in Cuba allows us to conclude that X. cúbense is the only Cuban species of this genus. Another Cuban species, X. clárense, must be considered as a synonym. The initial erroneous description of X. cúbense caused some nomenclatural errors, which are resolved in this paper.
