Geología de los alrededores de Casar de Cáceres (Cáceres)

Abstract

This paper is the result of data gathered by the Author several years ago, while studying on the field the Geology of the Province of Cáceres. Once the field work was stopped, and considering that it was going to be impossible for the author to continue it, he searched for the most interesting among many other field notes, and presents them in this paper with some unity. On the field, it has been covered an area almost as large as Map number 678, of Mapa Topográfico Nacional, scale 1:50.000. Some peculiarities are discussed, like Batholith granite, Cornean; Ordovician and its techtonics; some trace of posible Tertiary? ; Quaternary, mainly on terraces, and finally a general consideration on the Peniplain Morphology.
