La serie carbonatada de Navarredonda de la Rinconada (Salamanca, España)

Abstract

The carbonate rocks of Lower Cambrian age cropping out in the Sierra de Tamames (SW Salamanca) show different sedimentary structures that make possible the determination of their environment of deposition. In the lower section, the materials were deposited under subtidal and intertidal conditions while in the middle one there were mainly supratidal and intertidal. The upper part shows features of intertidal and subtidal environments.
