Materiales metamórficos y plutónicos presentes en la región de Piedrahita-Barco de Ávila-Béjar

Abstract

In this paper a Cambrian sequence characteristic of the metamorphic outcrop of Piedrahita-Barco de Avila-Béjar is described for the first time. At the base of the sequence appears a migmatized metamorphic unit that possibly belongs, at least in part, to the Precambrian. The lithostratigraphy of the sequence is studied and the granitic bodies and regional metamorphism of the area are described.
