Características de la sedimentación del Paleógeno en los alrededores de Salamanca

Abstract

This paper deals with the stratigraphy and sedimentology of the Tormes section, between Salamanca and Aldealengua. These sediments are of Lutetian-Ludian age. The granulometric analysis, the study of the parameter-thickness logs and the heavy mineral assemblages allow to draw some conclussions about the source area and the nature of the sedimentary environment.
