Nota sobre las características de un tipo de magnetita del Trías de la provincia de Jaén

Abstract

A mass of mineral of iron imbedded in the allocthonous Trias is studied. The outcrop is located in the Valley of the Guadalquivir, province of Jaén (Spain). The mineralogical determinations show the presence of magnetite, calcite and gypsum as fundamental minerals, and hematite, apatite, quartz and chlorite as accesories. The main character of the magnetite revealed a typical hydrothermal origin.
