Contribución para el conocimiento del batolito de Cabeza de Araya (Cáceres - España): El microgranito granatífero - cordierítico con megacristales feldespáticos

Abstract

An elongated body of megacrist-bearing garnet-cordierite microgranite with potash feldspar megacrist up to several cm. in lenght, is described. Different mineral parageneses can be separated with party or wholly crystallitation of garnet and cordierite in orthomagmatic phase. With an anatectic model in mind is concluded that the granitoid has been emplaced from a depth between 13 and 20 Km. almost up to the present surface with a fast pressure release.
